Beginning in 1995, Valley established his own boutique in Miami, selling to the high-society fashion set. Appreciation and interest for Valley’s craftsmanship quickly grew. A strong demand for Valley’s designs prompted him to open an atelier in New York City and move into the wholesale arena in 2000.
In 2006, Jacques Moret, the activewear firm, bought a 50 percent stake in Alvin Valley Inc.
