about
Marshoes launched its Alima label on the international market in spring 2001. Its top-end womens shoes combine a unique style with design excellence and the manufacturing experience of its parent company, making it a leading global brand.
The name "Alima" was specially created to describe the labels unusual style. It combines the Greek word "anemos" (meaning "wind" or "breath") with the Spanish "alma" or soul. Their union takes us into the realms of intimacy, physical and psychological well-being and formal harmony.
Each collection consists of some 90 designs. Beauty and femininity are the top priorities, as reflected in a choice of styles, which range from elegant ballet pumps and mules, to sexy high heels and sophisticated sneakers.
Alima is sold by top international retailers. Its distributors include United Arrows, Barney's and Beams in Japan, I.T. in Hong Kong, American Rag, Fred Segal Feet and Madison in the USA, Vergelio and La Vetrina de Beryl in Italy and Le Bon March in Paris.
Italy, Japan and France are its chief export markets of a brand with 200 points of sale abroad and 100 in Spain. It is also a regular at numerous international trade fairs, including Micam (Milan), Modacalzado (Madrid), Obuz (Moscow), Fashion Access (Hong Kong), WSA (Las Vegas) and Bread & Butter (Barcelona).
