In 1980 the Alfred Sung brand was established trough the Monaco Group Inc.

In 1981 Alfred Sung�s first collection geared to the emerging working woman premiers in Canada at the Bay, Eaton�s and specialty stores across the country.

The Alfred Sung brand was introduced to the US Market in 1982. The collection was launched at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and other fine stores across the country.

Sung Sport by Alfred Sung, a casual sportswear collection, geared to a younger customer was launched in North Amrica in 1984. Monaco Group Inc. embarked on a major advertising campaign in Vogue and W to promote its two collections Alfred Sung and Sung Sport.

Club Monaco �great new ideas� by Alfred Sung, a casual wear retail concept of essential lifestyle products for men and woman debuted through three free-standing stores in Canada in 1985.

In 1986 Monaco Group Inc. floated an IPO (Initial Public Offering) through the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange). Alfred Sung was the first Canadian designer brand to become a publicly traded company. Sung Alfred Sung, the perfume, is launched. It becomes a bestselling fragrance in Canada in its debut year.

In 1987 Alfred Sung showcase stores continued to open. The second Montreal location joined others in Toronto, Boston, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Washington.

The same year Monaco Group Inc. ceased to be a public corporation and attains private company status once again.

Free standing stores, featuring the denim collection for men and women, Alfred, was launched in Canada in 1991. Monaco Group Inc. changes its name to Mimran Group Inc.

Alfred Sung Eyewear, a collection of fine ophthalmic quality glasses, expanded to the United States through optical stores and opticians� offices in 1994.

In 1996 Alfred Sung�s collections of the mid 90�s are acclaimed as �modern� sportswear. Featured exclusively at Holt Renfrew in Canada.

In its first direct to retail license arrangement in 2001, Alfred Sung introduced men�s clothing and tuxedos exclusively at Moore�s Clothing for Men across Canada.

In 2005 the Alfred Sung Home collection was launched exclusively through Zellers-HBC in Canada. Featured in 276 Zellers stores this extensive collection of furniture, bedding, bath, home decor, tabletop and kitchen products has won immediate consumer recognition.
