431-88 was started in 2012 to curate a line for the woman who embraces her sexiness with an allusion of a sporty style. Being minimal in its outlook, the label exhibits a sharp focus on stripping the idea behind the collection to its absolute core and translating that into astute designs and detailed tailoring. In every piece traditional seams and darts are manipulated to achieve a constrained distortion.

The label has lately been endorsed by celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha amongst others. The designer, Shweta Kapur is a design graduate from the London College of Fashion, and has worked with VPL in New York, Burberry in London and trained with Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Jaanvi in India. She won the Elle Graduates Award for Excellence in Urban Tailoring for her debut in 2013 and has been showing at fashion weeks ever since. She has also been featured in many magazines as one of the upcoming young designers in India.
