At the beginning of 1967, a number of models took the initiative to start their own agency under the name 'Euromodel'. At the time, there were around thirty full-time models in the Netherlands, and no distinction was made between fashion and commercial models.
The rapid growth in the consumer market in the nineteen-seventies meant that there was a demand for more natural-looking models in various age categories. Euromodel took advantage of this need by introducing a new department called ‘Eurospecials’, alongside their already-established Fashion department.
Over a period of fifteen years, the departments expanded and became increasingly more professional in order to meet the increasing demand. In order to give the customer a good overview of their entire selection of models, it was essential to publish their first annual catalogue in 1981.
Euromodel has a down-to-earth mentality: what you see is what you get. Their model portfolio comprises models with a natural appearance who are suitable for fashion, beauty and advertising assignments.
